Order of Worship for August 16

Brothers and sisters in Christ,

Today was a very special day in our church year as we confirmed 2 young men in the faith. This rite of confirmation was celebrated in our second service this morning. It reminded me that although things are really different in our worship lives now, God is still at work! He continues even in these strange days to raise up believers. What a blessing to welcome these two young men in to the communicants of the Lord’s house!

The service recorded here is the first service. The sermon is based on the Gospel reading from Matthew 15. The Canaanite woman demonstrates tremendous faith and persistence on prayer and that is the theme of today’s sermon entitled, “Crumby faith”.
