Order of Worship for Pentecost
Brothers and sisters in Christ,
We have come to the end of May and remain sheltered-in-place. I know being apart from your brothers and sisters in Christ at worship is difficult, but I pray that God continues to equip you with patience. Althrough Governor Newsome has lifted the ban on churches gathering for worship, he also left the allowance of that ban to the individual counties. As of now, we have not heard an end date to the shelter-in-place in Santa Clara County. Nor has the county freed church to meet together for worship. While some churches are disobeying the band and meeting, we have stated all along our desire to remain in obedience to the governing authorities. We will continue on this path for now.
Today’s worship service is the celebration of Pentecost. While it would have been wonderful to be together for this Feast, we give thanks to God that the Holy Spirit is not bound by geography and comes to us in our homes to grow our faith and pray with and for us. May this celebration lift your spirits and I look forward to a joyous reunion in our sanctuary.
In Christ’s name and service,
Pastor Robert Weller
