Our Psalms study continues and brings us to probably the most beloved and most widely known of any of the psalms, Psalm 23. Its use in memorials and funerals makes this psalm study perhaps the most personal from many of us. It takes us back to a time of sadness and goodbye. Yet within the psalm text itself is the very remedy for such moments of melancholy. Our Shepherd Lord promises us of dwelling in His house alongside those whose passing brings with it such remembered sadness. Psalm 23 is only 6 verses long, but those 6 verses are filled with such words of comfort that this may well be my favorite study thus far.
